The Chen Guangcheng Debacle!

This Chinese national allegedly fell ill in the American Embassy where he sought asylum, asked to seek medical attention outside the Embassy, and also to see his family too. After some debate, permission was granted for his release.

Now he is asking to be extradited to the USA. Which hitherto, he said he was not interested in going to.

This case reminds me of ELIAN GONZALEZ, the Cuban child that the Clinton administration sent back to Cuba.

If the Obama administration is unable to rectify this debacle, it will harm his foreign policy, and political face.

If the US embassy officials believed they could trust China to honor any asylum request from this man. They were FOOLS.

And if this man believed he could see his family and still be free to return to the US Embassy, he is delusional too.

Barcelona Lost To Chelsea Because Of Goal Keeping Errors!

Barcelona lost the match against Chelsea today because of the following:

* All of the other TEN players did the usual quick passes, long passes, offensive and defensive play.

* The Goal Keeper was caught far from his goal at the FIRST input by Chelsea.

* The second goal scored by Chelsea, found the Goal Keeper AGAIN, too far away from his goal.

And woefully unable to challenge an incoming Chelsea player heading for the goal.

This is what I have observed for the past recent games that Barcelona lost.

It was in fact, serious errors, and inflexibility by the goal keeper.

If this Goal Keeper is not removed he will continue to harm Barca in all future games.

What Is Love To You?

It is mentioned in the history books that Adolph Hitler, the German Chancellor and Nazi Party Leader from 1940 to 1944, was in love with his mistress Eva Braun.

And this love was also expressed graphically, when they both decided to kill themselves with cyanide tablets in that bunker in Berlin.

Incidentally, uncle Adolph let her drink a cyanide tablet first, before he shot himself in the head afterwards.

Love Is A Genetic Feature In Human Nature:

This feeling is felt and understood by all humans, at different degrees of intensity. And are also felt between the same gender, between opposite genders, siblings, peers, relatives, and total strangers too.

What Love Is Not:

This thing us humans call love is universal in nature, and should not be confused with affection, physical appeal, sexual intercourse or sexual attraction, economic opportunity or security, family lineage, or maintaining the social status quo either.

Conclusion:

So love to me is all of the above and much more. Because it encompasses one's ability to understand another, adapt or accommodate each other's differences in culture, beliefs, experiences, feelings, and attitudes too.

And not expecting another person to respond favorably to your needs and expectations always.

Sexually Active Men & Women In Public Office!

It Is all About Ethics:

Without stated and acceptable ethical guidelines, it would be very difficult to hold Public Officials accountable for their sexual activities outside of legal marriage, for acceptable public behavior.

If you are a married man or woman, it is naturally expected that you behave in such a manner befitting that role, and the obligation expected from you to maintain proper moral behavior.

Of course, if you are Muslim, you may feel that your religion allows you to have several wives or mistresses, and may conflict with Christian values or morality.

Therefore, if you are Muslim, and subscribe to the view that having several wives or mistresses is what you believe and subscribe to, let it be known publicly, or before accepting an elected Public Office.

Personal Values And Public Expectations:

No one should be held accountable to the public if he/she is unfaithful to his/her spouse. That matter is strictly personal and private. But if word gets out to the media about this, it should be declared by the alleged party that such matter is private, and will not be entertained publicly.

However, if an elected Public Official's personal behavior interferes with his/her Public Duties or functions. Then the commonweal MUST ask that he/she be relieved of his/her duties, pending an investigation or resignation.

Dooms Day Preparation!

There are people in the USA preparing for Armageddon or another Great Depression. They stockpile food, water, guns, ammunition, and seeds too!

Some build underground bunkers, camouflage gear, emergency training in combat in case of physical attacks from invaders, looters, hungry neighbors or scavengers.

And most truly believe that such a scenario is going to happen in America or Globally, just like it did recently with the economic collapse or the Great Depression.

How many people or individuals could afford to prepare for such a scenario?

Not many, this is an expensive venture that may never materialize or happen in your lifetime either.

Our hero and champion has taken ill from a a heart attack while playing the game he loves, at the FA Cup quarter-final against Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

When our heroes or champions fall, we fall with them.

When they get hurt, we feel their pain too.

When our champions need our support,

We gladly oblige them too.

And now is the time to give that support,

To our 23-year-old champion footballer and hero Fabrice Muamba,

We wish a speedy and successful recovery.

If you truly understand the concept of friendship, then those whom you have on your Facebook page does not qualify. At least most of them do not, for the following reasons.

* Friendships are established through personal, interface, or face to face relationships.

* Friendships are established almost from childhood or adolescent years, to be truly genuine.

* Friendships are mutual, personal, trusting, loyal, and reliable.

Some hazards of Facebook contacts:

Some individuals who may be on your Facebook page, are there for the simple reason to get information about you. Some will pass this information on to others not on your page, some will use it to blackmail you, and others will use it to expose some of your personal stuff that should not be shared publicly.

Making your Facebook page private will not stop anyone from using your personal information for ill means either. This is the reality of the world we live in, and you must be cognizant of this.

Employer's request for Facebook information/password:

NEVER give an employer or potential employer permission to access your FaceBook page. Regardless of whether they threaten you, or use coercive tactics to make you feel compelled to do so. In such situations, I suggest that you contact your Labor Department for advice on this matter. Or your Trade Union Representative, (If their is one in your place of work).

Furthermore,

If you intend to seek employment as a professional in one of the established professions like Childcare, Medicine, Legal Attorney, Professor in a college, School Teacher, or the Priesthood. Ensure that your Facebook page does not have pictures of you naked, or partially naked, or information about you suggesting pornographic interests, or indulgences.

What Humans Call Justice Is Revenge!

In the days of yore, or in lawless societies, every individual was responsible for his/her own safety. People were expected to protect themselves and their immediate families for harm. So they armed themselves the best way the can.

When someone threatened you, they had better be prepared to follow through with that threat, because the person threatened took it seriously and prepared to defend himself.

Duels between men became fashionable as a way to get EVEN with someone who accused you of some wrong doing unfairly, of mischief, or blackmailed you, and tainted your dignity or personal honor.

The Rule Of Law:

When the rule of law took the place of personal revenge, the Courts played the role of Mediator for revenge. Lawyers, Magistrates, Judges, and Prosecutors, are the ones who profit from personal vendettas or squabbles between people.

This became the establishment that took root, and is now the institution which determines who goes to jail, jailed for life, or is pardoned, who pays a fine, or who dies for his or her alleged crimes.

Soldiers And Civilians:

When a soldier is ordered to kill for his country, he/she does so with the state's permission or consent. It does not matter what reason is given for this order. The soldier is expected to comply with that directive. The same with the ordinary civilian who kills for some personal reason, for revenge, or to get even. They all have a justifiable reason for so doing.

But the civilian is not allowed to kill, because the Courts will be put out of business if this is allowed to continue. And both soldier and civilian have to live with these deaths on his/her conscience until death. But nobody gives a dam really, because that is what society is conditioned to think, and to accept as reality.

State Computer Laptop Training In Guyana!

I am appalled to hear that he government has defaulted on the payment to several people slated to teach recipients how to use this utility.

I strongly feel that such training could be done at certain centralized facilities, that can accommodate large numbers of people, and using the video screen teaching technology, to explain how it is used in weekly or at weekend sessions.

Trainers can be given a stipend/fee for their work, ( after completing their slated sessions), or the training exercises.

Trainers MUST also be proficient in Computer operating skills, Windows, Internet access and usage.

And ensure that all who sign on to teach these skills are dependable, has the necessary verbal skills to teach the recipients, and are committed to this venture.

They must be monitored on the job (as such), and removed if or when found to be behaving inappropriately in their mannerisms, intolerant, or dis-respectful to those they teach.
